How Telepathy Can Help You Land a Promotion - Psychic Lessons

telepathy workplaceMany of us spend most of our working hours in the workplace. And we want that time to be as pleasant as possible, right? We want to feel fulfilled, we want to be successful and most of us want to make more money. So can telepathy help us to climb the corporate ladder and score that promotion?

I always say, what’s the use in having telepathic abilities if you don’t put them to use? Telepathy can be a powerful tool and it can help us inside and out of the workplace. But we need to pay attention to a couple of important truths.

When many people think of telepathy, they envision themselves sending thoughts to someone. However, many of us are stronger telepathic receivers than we are senders. A telepathic receiver is someone who can pick up on the thoughts of others either intentionally or randomly. And here’s where it gets tricky. Is it ethical to deliberately pick up on the thoughts of your co-workers through telepathy?
Telepathy or mental eavesdropping?

When you pick up on the thoughts of others, are you eavesdropping? If the info pops into your head, are you overstepping boundaries?
Is it cool to see two co-workers whispering by the watercooler and using telepathy to try to see what they are talking about?

Can you use telepathy to figure out if your boss is going to give you a raise?
Or is it ok to use it to figure out what your boss secretly wants so you can give it to her and have a better chance of getting a promotion?

If you’re deliberately picking up on thoughts without the other person’s permission, you may be overstepping. However, sometimes people give off information. In that case, you’re not trying to pick up on telepathic thoughts, but you get them anyway. Why not act on them?
Using telepathy to strengthen work relationships

So how can you utilize your telepathic gifts in the workplace to help you to get ahead in your career? Building alliances in the workplace is one way. You also want to be able to anticipate what people need and have strong workplace relationships. Here are some suggestions for ways that telepathy can help you do that.

Embrace the idea of receiving telepathic messages. When you set an intention, the Universe has a way of conspiring to help you. Not only that, but you open yourself energetically to psychic energy. If you open your channel so someone can telepathically communicate with you (even if they don’t know how), you’re more likely to pick up on it. One way to open your telepathic channel is through meditation.

Use telepathy to ease communications. One of the strongest uses of telepathy is for paving the way for our verbal communications. Before important conversations at work or before meetings, visualize the conversation going a certain way. Visualize yourself sharing information with a co-worker or a colleague and visualize both of you being energized by the communications. Be willing to try it multiple times. See how the relationships change with your colleagues.

A Human Library is an event that aims to create dialogue and understanding between people. Individuals volunteer as human ‘books’ and participants in the event can ‘read’ the book- meaning they would have a one on one conversation with the volunteer and share in a dialogue about that individual’s experience. ‘Books’ are volunteers from all walks of life who have experienced discrimination based on race, religion, sexual preference, class, gender identity, sex, age, lifestyle choices, disability and other aspects of their life. The Human Library provides the opportunity for the community to share and understand the experiences of others in their community.

There are a lot of things the Chicago community can gain from this event. Participants, both volunteers and the public, can gain the understanding that dialogue between people can work to break the barriers that separate us. Additionally, participants will walk away with the mutual understanding of being human beyond a single identity. Our volunteers cherish the experience to share their narrative with others and forge new connections.

The Human Library is an international movement that started in Denmark in the year 2000 and has since made its way through over 30 countries. Human Library Chicago was created with the permission of the Human Library Organization. The Human Library Chicago team is working hard to bring regularly scheduled Human Library events to the Chicago area. Please fill out our contact form if you are interested in volunteering. We are always looking to meet more people interested in the Human Library mission.

While some libraries are ditching their books in favor of the laptops, e-readers, and mp3 players, there's one library that believes stories are much better shared when they come from the source. At the Human Library, you actually borrow people.

The concept is simple - instead of checking out a book, you "borrow" a person who has stories to tell gathered from a unique life experience. For half an hour, you can sit down with someone like a prostitute, a politician, or a funeral director, all of whom have incredible stories to share.. and unlike a book, they're able to answer your questions and tailor the storytelling experience to you.

At the Human Library, you check out people instead of books

The unique idea to check out humans started in Denmark in 2000 as way to curb youth violence, and has since grown into an international project to promote compassion, understanding, and knowledge between people of all kinds. The project has worked so well that some cities have even set up permanent, award-winning libraries. The first US Human Library came to the Santa Monica Public Library in 2009.

Halloween Costumes - The History and Origins
trueghosttales

Of the many best loved traditions in America, the donning of costumes is at the top of the list. Many, many years ago, in times past, adults began dressing in elaborate costumes for Halloween parties, also known as Masquerade parties, long before it became an annual event for children. Dressing up in Halloween costumes is a recent tradition that developed in the twentieth century. The first store bought Halloween costumes were not available before the 1930's.

With the holiday being very loosely based on old Celtic legends about the closeness between the mundane world and that of the spirits at this time of year and the Catholic Church's celebration of their saints, it is no wonder that Halloween costumes have taken on a rather macabre appearance.

The modern Halloween holiday is loosely based on the old Celtic holiday, Samhain, when the veil between the "real" world and the spirit world was considered to be very thin. There is little wonder why Halloween costumes have a creepy and spooky, or even down-right frightening appearance.

Halloween Costume

With the advent of Hollywood movies beginning to appear all over the country around this time, actors like Lon Chaney, known for his Wolf-Man character and Bela Lugosi, who brought to life the vampire Count Dracula, gave the country the perfect creepy inspiration for Halloween costumes.

Witches, blood thirsty vampires, moaning ghosts, vicious werewolves and many other frightening monsters became the popular choices of trick or theaters every where. Thus the American idea of a creepy Halloween was born. Dressing in costumes gives one the opportunity to "let their hair down" and be someone else for a while, all in good fun of course.

Halloween Costume

With the increasing popularity of "tricks or treats", children soon joined the adults in costumes and before long Halloween night was filled with spooky, creepy, frightening, or even funny and cute costumed folks going door to door begging for goodies.

Some enterprising business person saw the marketing possibilities for Halloween costumes and soon there was much more available than just frightening monsters. A veritable plethora of pirates, fairies, clowns and superheroes, such as Batman and Superman began showing up alongside more traditional costumes. This idea continues to develop with the changing times and current costume trends include firefighters and police officers as well as various military uniforms from around the world and historical outfits like Roman soldiers or even a medieval Knight.

Our single use plastic addiction   | Conservation Guide
Beth AlexanderBloggerLondon

A Persistant Problem

As pollution, environmental damage and climate change slowly become buzzwords in our everyday lives, more and more of us are becoming increasingly aware of our impacts on the environment. However, there is an everyday convenience, a sinister product of a recalcitrant nature that’s causing great environmental problems; single use plastic.

Single use plastics or disposable plastics, as their name suggests, are used only once before they are thrown away and consist of items such as straws, plastic bags, water bottles, coffee cups, drink stirrers and food packaging. These single use plastics infiltrate our everyday lives and we now consider them a normality and a convenience. It is our addiction to these plastics that has driven a demand for their production and in turn, a global environmental problem.
The Facts

Plastic has only been in mass production for around 50 years, and globally we produce around 300 million tons of plastic each year, half of which is single use or disposable. Fossil fuels take millions of years to form, they are then mined and manufactured into single use plastics, shipped across the world to be used for a couple of minutes and then thrown away. Its numbers like these that highlight our addiction to convenient items making us increasingly aware of our environmental impact and need for a more sustainable alternative. Us Brits use around 7.7 billion water bottles a year, and as not all of us recycle, 5.5 billion of these end up as waste. With plastic bottles taking 450 to 1000 years to decompose we should really start to reuse our disposable plastics and grasp a better understanding of what is happening to these so called throw away plastics in our environment.

Once they have been disposed of they will end up in landfill where they will not fully biodegrade but breakdown into tiny particles, releasing toxic chemicals which make their way into our food chain and water supply – it is not yet known the full implications of this on human health. If these plastics do not make it to landfill they inevitably find their way into our oceans, and it is here where the greatest environmental damage is caused. It is estimated that by 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish, imagine swimming in a sea of plastic?

What Can Be Done?

With such an overwhelming quantity of single use plastics available to us in our everyday lives, it can be difficult to see where or how we could begin to change and reduce its impact. But by simply just being made aware of this issue is a starting point. Ask yourself the question; do I really need to use a straw at the bar? Could I reuse my water bottle next time I go to the gym? These tiny changes reduce the demand for production, in-turn reducing the waste ending up in our oceans.

不滅的熱情
Why passion is important | Karina's Thought
karinasussanto.wordpress.

1. It Builds Confidence – when you’re passionate about something you’re confident in doing it and carrying out tasks associated with it.  If you fail, you’re ready to get back up and go at it again.  Passion gives a natural level of confidence to and about the thing it’s associated with.

 2. You Never Stop Growing– passion encourage you to learn and gain knowledge in a specific thing.  The desire to gather all the information you can about what your passionate about is inevitable.  You never stop growing in your area of passion.

 3. It Delivers Profit -someone once told me years ago, use your talents and knowledge as gifts to edify and profit.  If you’re passionate about something it becomes a talent in which you harbor.  Passions can be a way of life that produces income.

4. It Precedes Happiness – succeed or fail, when you make an attempt to go after , live in, or work with your passion happiness is always the end result.  Even if you fail, your passion drives you to success.

5. You’re being Honest with yourself– if there is nothing else you know, or unsure of, it’s the one thing, or may be several things, you are passionate about.  So the chase and thrill that comes with your journey is rewarding.  Your motives are pure and honest.  If you profit greatly from your passion, the feeling of satisfaction you receive is superior to the amount of profit.

6.  Direction in Your Life is established– you know where you are going, or at least where you want to go.  Knowing and following your passion helps you not miss your target.  The last thing you want to do in life is walk around in circles without a sense of direction

7.  Survival – perhaps one of the most important reasons on this list.  Alexander Hamilton said “if you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything”.  Living your passion gives you something to live for.  It can be a sense of security, because of that, you stand for what’s apart of you. Do you know and are living your passion?

8.  Passion gives you the ability to focus.  It gives you purpose and clarity. Passion allows you to narrow your sights on a particular target.

9. Passion also inspires.  It is so strong that you are willing to suffer to see your passion become a reality. Passion comes from the Latin word “passio” which means “to suffer.” It is what you hunger for so intensely that you will sacrifice anything to have it.

10.  Passion is influential.  Passionate people attract attention. When you attract the attention of others, you become an inspiration to them and, therefore, an influence.

Hacking Happiness: Science Backed Ways to Feel Good Virtually All The Time

BY LORETTA GRAZIANO BREUNING, Ph.D.,

1. Celebrate Small Victories

You have some success every day, so commit to finding it and say, “I did it!” You will not conduct a symphony at Carnegie Hall every day. You will not lead starving hordes into the Promised Land every day. To feel good regularly, adjust your expectations so you can be pleased with something you actually do. This doesn’t mean you are lowering your expectations, or “full of yourself,” or losing touch with reality. It means you are lingering on your gains the way you already linger on your losses (which I’m sure you can imagine is not a key for how to feel better).

Celebrating small steps triggers more dopamine than saving it up for one big achievement. Big accomplishments don’t make you feel happy forever, so if you always tie happiness to a far-off goal, you may end up frustrated. Instead, learn to be happy with your progress. You will not be celebrating with champagne and caviar each day. You will be giving yourself permission to have a feeling of accomplishment. This feeling is better than external rewards. It’s free, it has no calories, and it doesn’t impair your driving. You have a small victory every day. Why not enjoy it and feel good in the process?

2. Take Small Steps Toward a New Goal

It doesn’t take much time or money to step toward a goal. Just commit ten minutes a day and you will feel momentum instead of feeling stuck. Ten minutes is not enough to move mountains, but it’s enough to approach the mountain and see it accurately. Instead of dreaming about your goal from afar, you can gather the information you need to plan realistically. Your goals might change as your information grows. You might even learn that your fantasy goal would not make you feel happy. Those ten-minute investments can free you from unnecessary regret and help you find a hill you can actually climb and feel good in the process. Your ten-minute efforts can define manageable steps so you’re not just waiting for huge leaps that never come.

Take action, don’t just daydream. Spend your time on concrete action. Don’t spend it fantasizing about quitting your day job or pressuring others to help you. It’s not their goal. Dig into practical realities instead. Do this faithfully for forty-five days and you will begin to feel better and have the habit of moving forward.

3. Divide an Unpleasant Task into Small Parts

Everyone has a dreaded task they’d rather forget about. It might be the mess inside your closets or the mess inside an important relationship. One method for how to feel happier is to commit to spending ten minutes a day on your dreaded task. You don’t need to have the solution when you start, only the willingness to keep stepping.
