久違了! 青年先生又來了!
日前本會接到 高雄岡山分會小組成員 張山先生 e-mail 詢問『三八』一詞英文如何表達？
Mr. 張山 總覺得她的女友很『三八』像隻花蝴蝶似地
嗯---很有趣的『三八』問題
Answer:
『三八』---three eight? or thirty-eight?
Examples:
1. slut
slut 蕩婦
slut –這個詞有點太過
ex: You look like a slut, dressed like that.
2. coquette. 賣弄風情的女子
ex: she had a reputation of being a frivolous coquette.
大家都说她是一個輕佻的蕩婦
3. a social butterfly 交際花
ex: I don't like that young girl; she seems a social butterfly.
我不喜歡那個年輕女子，她像個交際花
(我前面所提到三個詞 其實不完全貼切所謂的『三八』只是有些相關性)
(另a social butterfly 不完全是否定的 有正面意義 是指社交能力強之女子)
4. flirtatious 輕浮的 挑逗性的
ex: Her flirtatious manners are intended to attract.
她的輕浮的举止旨在引人注意。
ex: She gave me a flirtatious glance.
她給我挑逗性的一瞥
5.frivolous 膚淺的,輕浮的
ex: At 20, she's still rather frivolous and needs to grow up.
她到了二十歲仍然很不懂事，很不成熟。
6. giddy輕佻的,輕率的
ex: He married a young and giddy girl.
他又娶了一個輕佻的年轻姑娘。
(這四組 詞意又較為接近)
7. flippant 輕浮的,不客氣的,輕率的
ex: She is flippant in her behavior.
她舉止輕佻。(很『三八』)
8. skittish 輕浮的 愛調情的
ex: She gets very skittish when boys are around.
有男生在場時，她就顯得格外輕佻。(很『三八』)
9. pert,鲁莽的 無禮的 impudent 厚臉皮的
ex: A young woman who is considered pert, flirtatious, or impudent.
一個鲁莽的,輕浮的,冒失的年輕女人 (很『三八』的女人)
