Orlando, Florida (CNN)An American-born man who'd pledged allegiance to ISIS gunned down 49 people early Sunday at a gay nightclub in Orlando, the deadliest mass shooting in the United States and the nation's worst terror attack since 9/11, authorities said.
Does there need to be stricter laws for gun control?
What emergency is there really?
So many people say guns are needed for emergency, but what emergency can't we protect ourselves from without a gun that doesn't of course involve a gun? We have locks, we have cell phones! All we need to do is hide. A knife can't open a door like a gun can. There are better hobbies than shooting things if you want to hunt.
Look at the statistics
If you combine the populations of Great Britain, France, Germany, Japan, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark and Australia, you'll get a population roughly the size of the United States. We had 30,000 gun deaths last year, they had 112. The difference between them and us is not that Americans are more violent by nature. It is because they have strict gun control laws.
We absolutely need strict gun control!
I HATE GUNS! Yeah, yeah, we have the second amendment, but I personally am not a fan. You don’t not need an assault weapon and 30 bullet magazine clips to mow down an elk. We have to take a driving test to get a license so why shouldn’t we have background checks for guns? Thank goodness Democrats control Colorado state government, so we can actually get something done about the appalling loopholes in our gun laws! After the horrible Aurora tragedy, which occurred here, and the Sandy Hook shooting in Connecticut, it’s time we start cracking down! A lot of liberals are afraid to voice their opposition to guns, but I’m not! Guns DO KILL PEOPLE! You’re more likely to have a gun used against you or a loved one than to actually have it protect you from an intruder. Gun nuts don’t care about anyone but themselves and their rights. Your right to own a gun ends when it means another American will have to give up their right to life. The only purpose guns serve is to kill. If guns are not a problem then why is the United States the most violent nation in the industrialized world and we also have the most firearm proliferation and guns per capita? Enough is enough!
GUNS KILL PEOPLE
I think there should more gun laws in place because we have the police to protect us. I don't think they should be completely banned but no military grade or fully automatic weapons, just a hunting rifle or a 9mm pistol. There have been to many mass shootings and crazy people with guns we just can't keep taking chances.
I am against gun violence.
Guns are the reason why people are at war. They are the reason that people in gangs shoot each other. They should be outlawed so there will be less violence and fewer deaths. Yes, I understand that the police have to have them, but if guns were outlawed, they would have no reason to have them.
Q: What do you think about the gay night club shooting tragedy in Orlando? What to do if you were at the night club? Does there need to be stricter laws for gun control? Why Do Mass Shootings Happen More Often in the U.S.? What do you think about Isis terrorists? What if you were kidnaped by Isis terrorists?
Is an America a safe country? Is Taiwan a safe country?

GM foods are good
Genetically modified foods (GM foods) are foods that have been modified using biotechnology. Most known GM foods are pineapples, strawberries and potatoes. GM foods are made to last longer, have more nutrients, taste better and also the crops will have a higher quantity when harvested. Do genetically modified foods do more harm than good? I believe that genetically modified are not harmful because they have been modifying foods for centuries with no known harmful effects.
GMO is the future
Genetically modified foods have been tested over and over again. Never revealing any problems, the test that show rats getting cancer and tumors, where frauds. The lab showed false information. GMO foods are a good chance to increase food production, because it has defenses against bugs already built in. It also reduces the amount of chemicals needed on crops. Another bonus is the one chemical they do use round up doesn't run off into water and breaks down quickly.
They will save the world
All I have to say on the matter is that organic food can't be cultivated in a high enough volume to satisfy the worlds needs without hyper inflation of the price of food. Which is just not an option unless you want anyone aside from North Americans/Europeans to starve. There already is enough people going hungry on a daily basis and I see no reason to add to it. The other problem is the environmental damage. It takes a huge degree more land to cultivate the same amount of organic crop as it takes for a GMO crop leading to more soil erosion more fertilizer and chemical sprays used etc...
Awful
GM seeds and foods can cause risks of toxins that have never been there before. This can cause death of many people, and, Once the mutant genes are out of the bag, there is no going back. Genetically modified organisms contaminate existing seeds with their altered material, passing on modified traits to non-target species. This creates a new strain of plant that was never intended in the laboratory. In North Dakota, recent studies show that 80% of wild canola plants tested contained at least one transgene. In Japan, a modified bacteria created a new amino acid not found in nature; it was used in protein drinks and before it was recalled it cause severe mental and metabolic damage to hundreds as well as several deaths. Japan banned GMOs after this horrific experience. Monarch butterflies have also died after their favorite food, milkweed, was cross-pollinated from Bt corn which rendered it toxic to the endangered species.
The bottom line is that genetically modified organisms have not been proven in any way to be safe, and most of the studies are actually leaning the other direction, which is why many of the world’s countries have banned these items whose DNA has been genetically engineered. In America, they aren’t even labeled, much less banned, so the majority of the populace has no idea that they are eating lab-created DNA on a daily basis.
Q: Are GM foods good or bad? Do you think GM foods can cause risks of toxins? Do genetically modified foods will save the world? Is it possible that food resource will use out one day? How to find the new food resources? Is organic food better for you? How much do you care about food safety issues?
